Terms of Service
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms apply to web design, development, hosting and software work done by DreamCorp (Tyler Crouch, trading as DreamCorp, not a registered company). The written quote you accept forms part of these terms. If the quote and these terms differ, the quote applies.
Quotes
Every project gets a written quote in South African rand before work begins. It sets the price, scope, deliverables and timeline. Work starts once you accept the quote and pay any deposit it asks for. If VAT must be charged, it's shown on the quote, not hidden in the price.
Buy once
You pay a once-off price for the build, as quoted. Payment terms, including any deposit, are in your quote. Unpaid invoices may pause work until they're settled. Domain and hosting costs are separate unless your quote says otherwise. The optional care plan is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time in writing.
Rent monthly
You pay a monthly fee that covers the site, hosting, SSL and the care described for your plan. Fees are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel any time in writing. The plan then ends at the end of the month you've already paid for, and we don't charge a cancellation fee.
While you rent, DreamCorp hosts and maintains the site, and the site design and code stay ours. Your own content (text, photos, logos) is always yours, and we'll hand it over when you leave. You can ask to buy the site out at any time. We'll quote the buy-out price in writing, and once it's paid the design is yours as with a buy-once site. Where possible, your domain is registered in your name.
Founders offer. New rent clients get 50% off the first 2 monthly fees while the offer is open. The discounted and standard amounts are shown on your quote. We'll announce on the site when the offer closes, and it never applies retroactively or ends in the middle of your first 2 months.
Your content
You're responsible for the text, images and logos you supply and must have the right to use them. Please don't supply content that infringes anyone else's rights or is unlawful.
Revisions
The number of revision rounds is in your quote. Work beyond that is quoted separately.
Ownership
For buy-once work, once the final invoice is paid in full you own the finished website design, any custom software we built for you, and your own content. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you tell us in writing that you'd prefer we didn't. Third-party tools, fonts and libraries stay under their own licences.
Third-party services
Your site may rely on third-party services such as hosting, domains, payment providers, booking or messaging tools. They have their own terms, prices and outages, which we don't control. We don't promise search rankings or a set number of leads.
Liability
We work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that can't be excluded.
Cancellation
Either side can end a project in writing. You pay for work completed up to that point, as set out in your quote. Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 applies, you may cancel an electronic transaction within seven days, unless an exception applies, including where you agreed that work could start inside that period. Your Consumer Protection Act rights continue to apply where they do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
